Build understanding you can apply.
This programme covers the mathematics and practice behind robot motion. It starts with kinematic calculations and robot control and programming, then works with IGUS robots on referencing, calibration, workspace limits, singularity, kinematic modelling with the DH model, the Jacobian and performance measures such as positioning accuracy and repeatability.
What you will learn
- Perform basic kinematic calculations and understand differential motion.
- Understand robot control and programming.
- Reference and calibrate a robot and understand workspace limits and singularity.
- Build a kinematic model using link frame transformation and the DH model.
- Use the Jacobian and assess positioning accuracy and repeatability.
Who is this for?
- Engineering students in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics
- Automation professionals who want kinematics depth
- Learners continuing from robotics fundamentals
